While we are a small company, we strive to produce a quality product and to extend a higher level of service to our customers through the implementation of teamwork involving everyone in our organization. All of our employees are key people in the effort to complete projects on time and within budget. We look back with pride at projects we have completed and look forward to future projects where we can apply our experience and expertise. Below are short descriptions of the major staff’s experiences and qualifications. More detail available on request.
GEORGE R NICHOLSON, JR –
George has been involved in commercial construction since 1965 when he opened Nicholson General Contracting. In 1970 George started renovating Hilton Hotels throughout the SE United States with an emphases on their restaurants and meeting facilities. From 1970 to 1990 George traveled the SE doing 80% restaurants and other entertainment type projects. Since 1991 George has been doing adaptive reuse projects, restaurants, retail, new construction, and retail centers mostly in the metro Atlanta area.
George holds several Georgia Commercial General Contractor License, Electrical, Low Voltage, Telecommunications, Alarm/sound, and several Federal licenses and Canadian licenses.
Mike has been in commercial construction since 1975. Mike has been in the Carpentry Union. Mike is proficient in all millwork skills, welding, structural, ornamental concrete forming, custom furniture manufacturing. Mike has been with Nicholson since 1989. Mike is a project manager. Mike is well versed on codes.
Rusty has been in commercial construction since 1992. Rusty has been with Nicholson since 1998. Rusty is proficient in millwork, structural, ornamental and structural welding, Rusty is a project manager.
GEORGE NICHOLSON III-
George went to work with Nicholson after college in 1998. George is office manager, accounting manager, and contract compliance person. George handles all purchasing and manages labor distribution.
Shawn has been with Nicholson since 2002. After graduating from college Shawn worked for SENOVUS banking for several years. Shawn handles the overall project coordination in the field. Documents projects and sources materials.
Sheryl has been with Nicholson General Contracting handling AP, AR, and secretarial scope since 2002. Sheryl attended West Georgia State University. Sheryl also handles public relations with the inspection departments.
Chris is a master electrician and has been with Nicholson since 1980. Chris has been supervisor on many projects with advanced sound and light scope like the Cheetah Atlanta, Taj Mahal, and others. Chris has handled many restaurants over the years as well as large services on industrial and commercial buildings.
Hugo has been with Nicholson since 2001 and is a master electrician, Moreno was lead electrician on a 350,000sqft project recently. Hugo has provided electrical management on many restaurants like Globe, Cherry Restaurant, 5 Seasons, Hudson Grill, Truvia, etc.
